Breast Reduction and Augmentation
Breast Augmentation is a cosmetic procedure to make the breasts bigger and fuller by either using silicone implants and or the patient’s own fat.
Silicone implants are soft silicone gel implants of either round or anatomical shape that can be inserted into the breast. The body fat of the patient can also be used as fat for breast augmentation.Liposuction is first used to transfer the fat from the stomach, inner thighs or outer thighs and then transferred to the breasts of the patient.
Breast Reduction is a procedure to remove excess breast fat to make the breasts look smaller and in proportion to the body. Liposuction is used to suck out excess fat in the breasts, to make the breasts look smaller. This procedure is most suited for patients with overly large breasts which may cause pain in the neck/back/shoulder or discomfort in carrying out everyday physical activities.
Breast reduction surgery, also known as reduction mammaplasty, is a procedure used to remove excess fat, tissue and skin from the breasts. If you have large breasts, you might choose to have breast reduction surgery to ease discomfort or to achieve a breast size proportionate to your body.
Breast reduction surgery might also help improve your self-image and self-confidence and your ability to participate in physical activities.
